What kava is

Kava (KAH-vah), sometimes called kava kava, comes from the islands of Vanuatu, Fiji, and Tonga, where it's shared from a communal bowl at social occasions to help people unwind and socialize. The active compounds are called kavalactones, and these are what you can feel.
